Jay-Z opened his two-night engagement at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on October 23 with appearances by Blue Ivy Carter, Scarface, John Legend and DJ Khaled, according to USA TODAY and AllHipHop reports published October 24. The concert forms part of his celebration of a 30-year recording career.
The JAŸ-Z 30 series marks three decades since Reasonable Doubt. AllHipHop reported that the California dates followed anniversary performances in New York, London and Paris. The shows bring material from different stages of the rapper’s career into a single stadium program.
Blue Ivy, his daughter, accompanied him on piano during The Story of O.J. and Dead Presidents, AllHipHop reported. She had already played piano with her father at Yankee Stadium in July, performing Feelin’ It, making the latest appearance a continuation of their onstage collaboration.
USA TODAY reported that Jay-Z began the Friday performance around 9:25 p.m. local time with Hovi Baby. His set included Izzo (H.O.V.A.), Run This Town, Hard Knock Life, Dirt off Your Shoulder and Empire State of Mind, spanning multiple periods of his recording catalog.
The guest appearances placed family and fellow performers alongside that retrospective. AllHipHop also noted Blue Ivy’s earlier work as a dancer with Beyoncé, including the Renaissance tour and the opening of the Cowboy Carter tour at the same Inglewood stadium in April 2025.
The venue’s official calendar lists a second JAŸ-Z 30 concert for October 24 at 8 p.m. local time. Live Nation had said additional London and Los Angeles dates followed strong fan demand, extending the anniversary series after three sold-out nights at Yankee Stadium.
