Terra offers performance competitive with GPT-5.5 at half the cost, while Luna provides strong capability at the lowest price point of one dollar input and six dollars output. Access during the preview phase remains restricted to select partners and organizations, with broader availability planned in the coming weeks.

Google has been advancing its own competitive position with the release of Gemini 3 Pro Image, codenamed Nano Banana Pro, and Gemini 3.1 Flash Image, known as Nano Banana 2. The Pro Image model incorporates state-of-the-art reasoning capabilities for complex multi-turn image generation and editing, while the Flash Image variant is optimized for speed and high-volume use cases.
